Which dining set size to rent in Delhi

A two-seater at 33 inches square fits a 1BHK kitchen corner or a studio. A four-seater at 35 to 53 inches long suits a 2BHK dining alcove and seats a couple with guests. A six-seater at 58 to 63 inches long needs a dedicated dining space in a 3BHK and seats a family or flatmates together. All tables stand about 30 inches high. Metal-chair sets are the lightest to move within a flat; upholstered-chair sets suit longer sitting and a more finished room.

How renting a dining set in Delhi works

1. Measure the dining space and allow about 30 inches behind each chair. A set that does not fit is not eligible for return on size grounds.
2. Select Delhi on rentomojo.com or the app, choose a set by seats and material, and pick a tenure from three to 36 months.
3. Complete KYC with a PAN card and a selfie and pay the refundable deposit.
4. Delivery and assembly follow within 48 to 72 hours of verification. Inspect the table and chairs at the door; a defective item can be returned before the team leaves.
5. Request a swap to a larger or smaller set, a repair or a relocation from the app during the tenure.

What a dining set costs to own against to rent

A new four-seater dining set costs ₹13,000 to ₹55,000 in Delhi, with a mid-range solid wood set near ₹34,000, and the most popular six-seaters ₹25,000 to ₹60,000. The Poise four-seater rents for ₹783 a month, or about ₹9,400 across a year, and the Poise six-seater on a 12-month plan ₹14,148. Cumulative rent on the six-seater passes a ₹25,000 purchase in month 22 and never reaches ₹60,000 within the 36-month maximum. A dining set is the largest single piece in most rented flats and the one least likely to suit the next dining space; on rent it is sized to the current flat and swapped for the next.

A table sized to the flat, not the other way round

A dining set bought for one flat rarely fits the next, and it is the piece most often left behind or sold at a loss. On rent in Delhi, the two-, four- or six-seater is matched to the current dining space, arrives assembled with its chairs, and is swapped when the household or the flat changes.
